This island is located a couple of hours north of Koh Bon and this island looks similar to the Similans, with the granite boulders and blinding white beaches. The beach here has been called ‘the last of the true Thai beaches’ and is incredibly beautiful.
But what’s most interesting is what lies underneath the surface. With a beautiful coral reef running all the way up the east side of the island and the fantastic pinnacle located on the south corner this island is well worth a visit. The pinnacle is a favorite amongst many of the local dive staff due to its variety. Here you have both enormous granite boulders on the north side and a coral reef on the south side.
Quite often here we encounter such rarities as schooling chevron barracudas, schooling bigeye travellies and leopard shark and every now and then when we’re lucky; manta rays. Other things that you might come across are batfish, moray eels, clown triggerfish, lionfish, nudibranch, pipefish, napoleon fish and sometimes turtles. |
